So, assuming you value your friends here are some Friends v Poker tips.
- Don't be a poker bore: If your friends are not poker players they will not want to hear about it as much as you want to talk about it.
- Make time for your friends:  There will always be another poker game but your friends will eventually get fed up taking 2nd place to 'a stupid game'.  If , on occasion, there is a big game you want to play instead of going out with friends then they don't have to know why. 
- Make them ask you:   In general, people like to hear about interesting personalities, good luck stories, controversy and the poker High Life. So, restrict your poker chat to just a little taster of these and you'll have your friends asking you more about it.
- Oh ...  if your friends are poker players and they are telling you to quit then there is probably something wrong with your game so have a think about it (or perhaps you're just too good :) ).
