I can pretty much fit my entire poker life in this set of definitions right now.Doldrums - d o l~d r u m s - d o h l~d r u h m z
1. A state of inactivity or stagnation as in business or art: August is a time of doldrums for many enterprises.
2. the doldrums.
a. a belt of calm and light baffling winds north of the equator between the northern and southern trade winds in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
b. the weather prevailing in this area.
3. A dull, listless, depressed mood: low spirits.
I have lost my entire stake for November, already this month. Poof
When I talk of doldrums I refer to the kind that NEVER match up to any of your cards. No matter how good they look when you get em.
I'm usta gettin a certain percentage of flops with a monster, and I get em properly. And I don't play junk hands. I'd rather read or draw while I wait.
But this last week I got nothing but must play cards... that got raised time and again.
With just a small percentage of what I should have seen from these hands, (according to the stupid numbers) I'd be way ahead for the month.
Also, for some reason, I've been kinda playing without really wanting it...
So....alas. No more casino for this month. Well, I could get into my winnings and start my monthly bank all over again. But next months bank is already allocated. I really wanted to double up before Christmas. :deal:
I think Imma just wait out the doldrums. I do have some sleep to catch up on. Also a bet that may pay off next week. But I'm prolly gonna just get reaquainted with my couch this month.
Christmas is comming... :icon_sant
