Draw poker tables are kept short (6-handed) so the deck doesn't run out. Now, I know that stud games deal cards as community cards if there isn't enough left for the final round; but theoretically, if the deck was overdrawn for a draw game, how would it be handled? The problem (if it's not obvious) is that drawing happens sequentially so you don't know if you have enough cards or not until it's too late, whereas stud cards are dealt simultaneously. Anybody have an answer to my theoretical and unlikely situation?

In our home games, if they're seven players we usually limit the number of cards that can be drawn to three.
