Dude didn't some dude sucker punch you leaving the casino one night for something you said at the table? Guess some people never learn. I remember reading that thread and thinking that you didn't deserve to be beaten but after reading this thread I'm pretty sure I was wrong.

All you had to do to see his cards was sit, wait and say nothing, which is a dick move but well within your rights. What you did was more than a little douchey.

Maybe a new avatar?

Also stop seeing monsters under the bed, it's costing you money. Being afraid to get it AIPF with AA is ludicrous because you think someone may have folded your "outs". wtf?

I said nothing to that guy. I turned broad way to his set of kings with AJ.

But, was well deserved. No one was enjoying playing that night. And that's never what I want. I want a table full of talkative, "I'm here for fun", and semi-drunk players who have a nice buzz going on. I don't want to be at a table where you have to sit back and wait for aces and kings, I want them to play loose and have a smile on their face as the chips are passed to me.

Against a maniac, I wouldn't feel 100% comfortable without flopping a set or 2 pair against this guy.

That is an epic story! I love it when it works out like that. There are a few maniac regulars that come in to where I play and all the other regulars are fighting over who gets to sit at the table with the maniac.

Are maniacs somehow luckier than normal humans? Do the odds change when they're involved in the hand? You do realize that you're still a 77% favorite over any other pp even if the other 2 aces are gone. How much better do you want it before you take a fishes $$?

It depends on when the all-in is called. If it's before the river, the person first to act (from where the button sits) is expected to show first. (If I'm not mistaken, somebody better versed in the rules of poker could answer this question better.) Also, if the all-in was called on the river, the person who was called is expected to show first. You can just sit there and be a douche with your hole cards in your hand for as long as you want to though.

Eventually you gotta flip'em face up and shout SEND IT! though.

I tend to do this for pots worth <$12 for dramatic effect. It turns heads in the card room if you can do it convincing enough every time.

No. The person who made the last aggressive action (bet or raise) has to show 1st. It's decent etiquette for the person who calls and likely has the best hand to show 1st but by rule the person who raised AI or bet last has to show or muck.

Enjoyed reading your story, glad you hung in there and finally took him down. Luck will only take a player so far. Like "they" say, a fool and his money go seperate ways.
