SNG grinding online For a long time now I have taken for granted my ability to destroy 1 table SNGs..It's not arrogance, but many years ago I read that "...in SNGs you basically just wait for everybody else to knock each other out.", and something just clicked. You play tight at first and start stealing when everybody else tightens up...Obviously you need to have some ability and good timing but whatever. They have always been boring to me. Only lately have I decided to start focusing on my strengths again and play them frequently. In short, I play 4-6 1 table SNGs a day, and literally just yesterday I started playing 3 tables. My BRM and financial state demands that I play low limit stuff for the moment, even though I feel totally comfortable at higher stakes (I have been playing for 16 years). SO anyway..To me, when you play several a day, I feel like if you are playing well, 100% ROI is acceptable for the entire day, but optimally you should be anywhere from 275-450% if you are consistently placing 1st or 2nd. One tactic I employ a few times a day is to play a few "triple up turbo SNGs. Either 6 or 9 handed, depending on how tough you think the competition will be and how long you want to spend playing. Because you only have to come in 3rd or better, they are a quick and easy way to make money if you are confident in your abilities. Right now I do this about 3 times a day, combined with 4-6 regular 9 handed games. This gives the bankroll a nice boost. My usual buy in is $10 + $1 for right now. With the T-ups, the ROI is about 200% each or roughly 100% for every 3 you play if you are consistent.
