If you start from scratch you have to play a lot of hands, at the beginning freerolls, then lowest limits and if "deposit" is the forbidden word for you, you have to be very careful with your play for money and very conservative with your Bankroll Management, otherwise you could blow it away in short time and back to playing Freerolls again, as your bankroll zero again. That will teach you discipline a lot, you need pretty much especially, when stakes are get higher. Also because you have to play a lot on smallest stakes to earn some $ to be able to play higher, you get more experienced and be more ready to play with the serious boys later. 3) [B]Self-confidence and pride for yourself[/B]. If you raised your Bankroll from scratch you shall have seen already how nasty this game can be, all those bad beats and weeks of downswings and you had to deal with and you survived, you got mentally stronger and if it happen again on higher stakes, you will survive it either and don't go broke, like if you made deposit and never experienced such stuff. Also if you raised your bankroll from 0, you shall be very proud of yourself. You have never invested a penny and you are playing now some limits higher, than just smallest one or freerolls. You are playing with the money, you have won from other loosing players, because of your edge of the game and because you play smarter. It's a great feeling. I mean it's something very different to deposit $100 and make it to $200. Even a fish can do that, if he is on lucky upstrike (usually he just loose and deposit again, but sometimes not).
