Patience is not the key at the end of these SNG because stacks are so short. Pretty much you want to play aggro and win a bunch of pots preflop. There is a huge difference between a HU match where both players start with 100BB and the end of the tourny where each may have 10. The smaller the stacks the wider you should be raising/pushing. A high hands are good here and better K high if someone has a short stack is probably fine, all pairs also if stacks are low. 
 
suited connectors are also not very good anymore since they are more of an implied odds kind of hand and play better in multiway pots. If you are playing against a tight player you cna probably raise just about any two until he adjusts but sc shouldnt be specifically targeted if thats not the case.
 
The main key is to figure out what your opponant is doing. If they are tight just keep raising until they adjust, if they are crazy aggro just widen your range to go over the top since they are raising very wide. Dont just keep folding because if you ever even get a good hand a double up you will still usually be less than where you were.
