Did you have AA or KK? Also, this should be in BBV.

I'm DawgLvr on Pokerstars because DawgBones was taken...what is BBV? By the way this hand went all the way to the river before I went all in

Did he raise pre-flop or limp hoping for a raise? Did you re-raise or were did you raise the limper?

Looks like he made it $80 originally. Or was there two or three min raises?

I'm guessing AA made it 80 to go, got a late position caller, then KK reraised, AA tried to trap, and the caller fold. That explains the 3100 pot.

Actually james I made it 80 to go...AA was slow playing. I then raised about 240 post flop, and checked on the turn. Bet on the river and AA went all in with an insta call:D

I never know how to play pocket aces on the first hand of the tourney. Sometimes you can get donks to call all-in pre-flop, but I never seem to find those. Recently I've just been slow playing it, but I guess this hand shows that has it's negatives too. Though I doubt his all-in would have made you fold.

My personal preference for playing a large PP in the first hand of a tourney is to play it as normally as possible, as if it wasn't the first hand.
