setups

I've often felt like I've been setup. Especially when I have KK and somebody else has AA deep into a tourney. I don't think that has ever happened to me in a live game and if it did then only once.

It does make no sense for the companies to rig any poker game.
The companies earn their share no matter who wins.
To rig a freeroll seems..... just stupid. Why should they do it ?
In live games AA vs. KK or AK vs. QQ happens all the time, I have experienced that often enough.
If any company rigged a game it would crush them within days, noone would play there anymore.
There are bad beats I know, I even lost a nuts-flush after flop to a straight flush on the river once, but that's just bad luck.
Many players tend to forget that they at some time were lucky too.
Or did you never get a runner runner win being way behind...?
Remember, poker is a game were luck plays a certain roll, too looking at just a single hand.
Strategy and maths play a large roll on the long run but you need some luck at times, too.

Right on grafkarow, the cards at ALL poker rooms are as random as shuffling the deck at home on your kitchen table 7 times. I hate it when players lose a hand and they say, "wow, Bodog or such an such a site really set me up for that one" No, you did it yourself, when you raise with your pocket 10's 4 times the BB and the guy 3 to your left re-raises you and you go all in and it's your 10's vs. his kings, it's nobody's fault but your own. Quit blaming your bad play on someone else, it gets really old really fast.

I never considered that, but I have seen many many many times 5 pp's at the table coming up in the same hand. If there was some underhanded software going on I would safely assume it has nothing to do with the tournaments. The poker sites make more off the ring games...thats why I like to call these hands Rake Makers! hahaha AA v KK v 88....J Q 8 flops... it's almost the same thing every time haha make everyone run to the river...pinch every nickle out of them possible!

I know all the softwares are 'certified' but I'm just wondering...who certifies the certifier?! :D or maybe it's a little like polotics...who's in the back pocket! haha :)

Excuses are like assholes. We all have one and they all stink. This is as far as this goes. If he likes this one, he will use it. PERIOD

i play cash games live twice a week and see kk vs AA and so on all the time its poker. Just because u have a monster hand does not mean somone else isnt going to get a bigger hand, or flop a set on your kk or AA. Played last night and i caught KK in the bigblind playing 1 2 no limit utg raised with aces and put him all in preflop so it does happen , also seen AK crack aces , seen k 10 crack aces,2 2 crack kings and this happened in just one night ...... it happens just because the odds suggest u will win doesnt mean u will win till the last card hits the board..

This is off topic, but I was actually accused of working for PokerStars today during a SNG. It was pretty amusing. The guy was telling another guy how poker is rigged, etc. So, I politely asked him, if he thought it was rigged, why he continued to play.

He then bashed me for several minutes and said that I was a PS employee, and that I was getting a cut of the rakeback (Which was like .60 per person LOL)

It was pretty hilarious.
