The Monte Carlo is right next to the Aria. If you do decide to play 1 tournament I highly recommend their $125 1pm or 7pm. There is an inside shortcut to the Aria past the food court in the Monte Carlo. You will enter the Aria right by the poker room.

Since you are hoping to earn some reward points and comps limit all of your slot play to MGM/Mlife casinos - which with the exception of the MGM Grand are all on the Monte Carlo side of the strip. Caesar's is not MGM though - it is Total rewards. Also you and your wife can link your accounts.

Watch the Bellagio fountain show at some point - and you can play slots in there - it is an MGM property.

Go through Caesar's - it is worth seeing.

The Venetian is worth a walk through too.
