The other day I was reading the story of an online player who regularly loses $1000 a month or more playing NL2 cash games. It sounds almost impossible but he does, and it's been going on for years.

From what everyone can gather he doesn't work and he's got himself into debt, taking loans to try and keep playing. He's never had a winning month. People have tried to help him, telling him to stop or give him some strategy tips but he's convinced that everyone else is a lucky and a bad player, and that what he's doing is right.

He seems to play ok for a while before going on huge sprees where he jams all in preflop, usually beginning when the button or small blind raises when he is in the  big blind. He believes he has to stand up to their aggression and this how he does it. He'll do it with any two cards and when he inevitably loses he'll become frustrated and start going all in preflop even more.

People would start to queue to get on the same table as him and players often end up 25-50 buyins in profit if they can get a seat. At one point he and all the players he was with on a particular day had their accounts suspended pending an investigation because the site thought he was intentionally chip dumping to them.

The whole thing made me sad, he obviously needs help but doesn't want any.
