Well ... of course I've had those kinds of thoughts ... especially when you're on a losing streak where even though you're playing well ... the variance is killing you ... you feel that frustration and desire to stop playing poker. ..!

No problem on that , there is always better / beneficial things to do instead of playing poker but due to nowadays' situation it's a good time killer. I don't know what I am gonna do poker wise in a random time period from now on but grinding once in a while is not a bad idea. So giving up poker for good?? I don't think so , it's a game after all!

So far, such thoughts have not arisen, since this is for me a hobby that brings pleasure when spending leisure time on weekends, from the main activity.

I did give up poker for about three years. Then one day I received an email from PokerStars giving me a free $5 spin and go. I turned that into $2700 and haven't looked back since.

Yes, many times. There are points where after being in a slump of losing and bad luck I ask what am I accomplishing but then I always find a way to motivate myself to keep learning.

I've never thought about that because I just play poker for fun and I mostly play freeroll or micro buy-in so it didn't affect me a lot when I lost. But I think if we lose a lot money in poker and don't receive anything, we should give it up.

In the past I gave up, more correctly left it for a while plenty times. Nowadays, I think, I never will, everything else became more useless than poker.

none of us have such superpowers. But you can learn a more objective way of assessing your skill. By knowing better how you play, you will be able to deal much better with short-term losses.
