Sometimes the hardest pat for me is waiting for a good hand, especially when half the table are donking off their money flat calling raises from any position with a 9 2 off suit.  When the blinds are low, compared to you stack, you still have time to wait for better starting hands than your opponents are going with. Once the blinds start increasand your M drops you can lower your raising requirements, but by then typically three or more players are gone.

I was at a deep in a MTT the other day (three tables left) and everyone at the table had at least 20x the BB and they were going all-in preflop every hand.  Everyone was folding to the PFR.  I finally picked up AA in late position, there was an all-in and call before it got to me, I called and they turned over an 8 10 and a A J, both off suit, and I trippled up.  I wound up finishing third in the tournament.
