How to design Poker Mods For PS&FTP

Hey
Was wondering how you do this and what programs people use for creating custom cards etc , someone mentioned before adobe CS5 or something , is there a tutorial around for doing this ..and yes i know how to put a custom backround in etc , i would like to design my own cards,

(Before anyone asks, I've never done card mods and I've only done a couple Stars mods due to difficulty.)

well if you want to spend money on mods thats fine, but if you take the time to go and search on 2+2 for the threads i told you about, you can get many VERY nice mods for free....even items he is selling at his tiltbuster store....all the guys in the mod community are super friendly and helpful; they arent in it for the occasional $10 they get.

heres my custom theme, i didnt pay a cent although i did put in a few hours on GIMP(like photoshop)....
