Prohibited software and the means to detect it are explicitly mentioned in the T&C of most if not all of them. By accepting the T&C and signing up, you are granting explicit permission for them to monitor what you're doing while the poker client is running. Therefore it is [U]not[/U] an invasion of privacy because there should be no expectation of privacy after accepting those terms. It's not like they're viewing your bank account data and watching what pr0n sites you visit. They're protecting their integrity and the expectation of their players to play in a cheat-free environment (as much as possible). So IMO they have every right, because there would otherwise be no way to enforce those rules.
