And splitting hairs thought it may be, as you pointed out, the firewall itself doesn't do ANYTHING related to what applications do on your computer, only that what traffic can go in/out of your computer.  The fact you have other components of your internet security suite that may attempt to do those things was not the point, since you just said "firewall."  And FWIW, simply enumerating running applications and windows does not trigger any security suite that I'm aware of, it's pretty standard application behavior that tons of apps do and falls well outside the concerns of security software -- they're more concerned with keylogging, process injection, etc.  As someone who works in the field, I come across a lot of people who don't know what a firewall does or does not do, and it's my job to help them understand, so it's something I just tend to naturally do.  People here educate me about poker, so I try to help educate others as to whatever my specialty might be.  Sorry if that offends you, but you don't have to read it either.

As far as "wasting my time" it was an attempt to help, which is never a waste of time.  Except when people obviously don't want nor think they need help, which is apparent here so I'll just move along.
