I started playing 6-7 years ago. In fact, I was taught to play by a colleague at work who often played during the working day. I was immediately interested in the game and since then, poker has been my favourite pastime in the evenings.

I learned about poker from a movie, and probably a lot of people did.

I got into poker through watching the World Series highlights and got hooked by the mix of skill and psychology.

I got interested after seeing a pro poker player on Japanese TV talking about the world of professional poker.

i was 17 and my father was watching a soccer game, after the game ended he left the tv on on the same channel and a broadcast of a poker tournament began, can't remember the name of the tournament but i do remember the name Gus Hansen, after that i became a fan, start looking for flash poker games online until i found about full tilt poker , created my account and 16 years later haven't stopped playing , on a different site of course lol . It also led me to my first poker book , super system.

Playing a game in Facebook, it was awesome.

I started playing about 9 years ago.
At that time, I worked in an office, and during working hours I had quite a lot of free time. I started playing actually for fun, so as not to get bored. I didn't think that this story would drag on for almost 10 years

I was watching a movie and there was a card game, one of the players was smiling a lot, showing that he had the best game... when suddenly his face changed when his opponent showed his game! That fascinated me and made me wonder what game it is that changes everything suddenly... that's how I discovered poker and started researching and practicing...

My introduction to poker started on YouTube — I came across an 18-episode series (in Russian) about the world series of poker in Las Vegas.
I was shocked — I always thought poker was just for fun with friends or maybe underground clubs, but this was a huge international event!
That got me curious, and I found out about sites like PokerStars, where I signed up. Later, I discovered 888poker, and I’ve been playing there ever since.
They’ve also hosted many great live events in Europe, which I also enjoyed watching on YouTube

I really admire how you overcame your fear, especially in live tournaments. That nervous feeling is something many of us go through in the beginning, but the important thing is that you didn’t let it stop you.
