About an hour into a MTT, I had AKo from early pos.  I preflop raised 3x BB.  Only the BB called.  Flop was a complete miss.  BB checked, so I made a continuation bet, which he called.  Turn was another blank, but I recall there being a couple of potential draws on the board.  BB checked, and I took another stab at it, making pot-sized bet - which left me nearly committed.  BB called again.  River card is another blank that would not have completed any draws.  BB checked.  I had nothing.  But like I said, I was nearly pot-committed.  I thought for a moment, then said out loud: "Well, I'm pretty much pot committed here....all in."  BB mucked his hand.

Later, I thought that he might have thought I was making one of those speeches guys make to make you think they have nothing, when they really do have a hand and want you to call.  The truth was, I really had nothing.
