That would be a dream to play poker full time. But I'd Think it would be very stressful. An outside income would be nesacerary. Like a rental property

I would probably need the equivalent of three years salary to quit my job. This would give me enough of a cushion to be comfortable and concentrate on playing poker without financial stress.

I think even if I won 20-30 thousand dollars, I would still play, if I could have cut a jackpot of 100 thousand dollars, then I stopped, it all depends on the amount, and how to dispose of the money.

So many factors age being the biggest one. I personally would like enough of a bank account to mainly live of the interest so the nest egg stays the same size.

It has nothing to do with how much is in my account- it's about how much I'm averaging per month. Back when online poker was "legal", $3,000 a month for 6 months was enough to convince me that this could be my primary source of income.

Unfortunately, the U.S. Dept. of Justice yanked the rug out from under me shortly after that!

2.5 million USD. 300k for a house, 60k for cars, 100k for poker and 40k for living expenses. Invest 2mil for a 7%annual return gives me about 120k a year to live good on and not have to work.

I would need to make at least the same money per day than my current job. If i want to retain my weekends at least partially free and i play on average 20 days per month poker (like normal job) i would need to make at least 100$ per day from poker on average including the variance. As i am very far from this for now i prefer to retain my normal job and play poker as a hobby.

I would need about 5 million dollars, possibly much more considering the high amount of taxes in my country. More realistacily, i dont think I would ever want to stop working, because it would make me mad. If I could be the best poker player ever, I would probably like to work a couple hours each day.

I think anywhere from $150,000 to $200,000. I believe a great deal of discipline will have to come with it as well. If you can manage your living situation with it it's do able.

No amount of money will make me quit . It may change what I do but I will do something until I can no longer move . As I’ve just been off for the last 16 months due to injuries and am still not sure what I will be able to do I know I need to do something . I can not live like this for much longer

I believe I worked the math out for myself a few times. If I had a consistent winrate of at least 4bb/100 at 400nl and could 6-table then I MIGHT consider playing full time. I believe this works out to if I can build my initial deposit of $35 bucks up into $50,000, then that would be the minimum amount I'd need in order to go full time. Really id want to get to more than that in order to feel really comfortable that it could be a stable income
