To answer you question more directly, if I almost always won $100-$200 a day, that would more than enough to start playing poker professionally. I think I could do that playing $50 worth of tournaments with buy in ins between $5 and $20, and 4 tabling 10/25c cash games.

I imagine I would win $400 or more  10% of the time, and due to the low stakes I think I less than 10% of the time I would lose $200, which would be no wins in tournaments and lose 6 buy ins for $25NL. Is a bad day (without tilt) much worse than this? I find it hard to imagine losing 10 buy ins in $25Nl in a day without being on tilt.
