How Phil Ivey Lost 800,000 on The Super Bowl

Just heard on the sports radio show I listen too Ivey lost $800,000 on the Cardinals +3.5 points for the 1st half in the Super Bowl. If you guys don't remember the game James Harrison's 100 yard INT return for a TD to end the half cost Ivey that bet. That's a tough way to lose a bet. WOW!

lol 1.6M swing on the fact that he got tackled like a foot inside the end zone at the most. Also if he steps a few inches to his right and steps out of bounds. But of course to Ivey this bet was probably like most people betting like $50 on the game. Not like pocket change but certainly not enough to lose sleep over. I've heard he bets a ton playing golf as well.

He does, but I actually think Phil might've been shocked on this one. That's just a brutal way to lose 800K, brutal, brutal, brutal! I'm sure he thought he had it in the bag when the Cardinals were inside the 5. I mean who wouldn't?

^ this, probably. Wasn't he supposed to have at least $2m riding on the NBA playoffs last year?

Gotta agree though, it's a pretty brutal way to lose $800K.

Also note it was a 1.6M swing because he wins the 800k if that play doesn't happen. Absolutely brutal.

Prob more than a 1.6 mil swing if the cards were a dog at 3.5 for the 1st half.

No if Harrison doesn't run that back he wins 800k, if he does he loses 800k. The line doesn't give odds, just the amount of points.

Tv: at the 50, still going cardinals cant make a tackle

Ivey: WTF ?!?!!?!?

tv: the 10, the 5 , harrison is tackled ...... TOUCHDOWN !!!!

Ivey: FCUK FCUK !!! Should just stick to poker.
