It was great advice as I took home 186.55 a week in wages and about 100.00 in poker winnings (my young wife ironed my money so it would lay flat). Never laid off first and made plenty of money in a game where everyone was "breaking even".Very loose game for a more serious player easy pickings, insane action. OK to the lost, When I started internet play at first I would take a fair bit of work time to play cards at a level laughably below my wages . I just love the play so it seems a fair trade as I am niether homeless or gaunt but still would have made a lot more at my craft , so be it. In the end I feel like I have made more playing poker than not when I add the money , experience, employment (if only because they needed a fifth), and just the pleasure of playing the game than it has ever cost me.
