The reason people hate limit is because they don't understand it. For instance you complained about your AA getting rivered. Well if there was any kind of draw on the board, you betting or reraising isn't going to chase someone away. Especially if you are playing low limit (ie: .25/.50 cents or 1/2). I almost never raise preflop in a limit cash game unless I have AA, KK, or AK suited. Anything else is pointless because you are going to get called or even reraised. Once the flop hits, you must see if there are any draws. If there are, you have 2 choices. Lead the betting and hope for the best, or check raise, or just check call. See what happens on the turn. Then put some pressure on them. You will either win or lose. If you lose, shake it off and keep going. Personally in limit, I prefer suited connectors over PPs. Too often you'll have KK get called. The flop will be like J 7 2, and someone has 7 2 suited and you are behind.
 
Just keep in mind that chasing is apart of limit and there isn't anything you can do to get rid of them.
