More important than anything, play every hand as if the one before it never happened.  In other words, don't let [b]anything[/b] take you out of your game.  Don't let the other guy dictate your moves, be deliberate with every check, call, and raise.  Playing fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants poker and wreckless card chasing is always a negative in the long-run.
