Here are my thoughts... While I like the idea of transitioning the "satellite" tourney to a live one, I never like the idea of taking time off from a tournament and rejoining it later... Like the November Nine, I understand why they do it, but there are advantages that you are taking away when you pause the game.

That said, if you basically start the tournament anew again, you take away some of those problems. You also raise some new questions. How long between the two tournaments would there be? How far away is this tournament going to be? Some people are going to have to plan for something like that and take time off work etc.

It is an interesting talking point though. When I try to think objectively about whether I would play this kind of tournament, I don't think I would. However, that is mainly because I am an instant gratification type of guy. I want to win whatever money for whatever place and move on.
