Money is like a river, they should float. If you keep the money - they become a swamp. In my case i would spend every single cent for something that creates good things or conditions for the people. Building or buying a couple of factories is good option, fields and greenhouses is another good option and so on. It's quite a good idea, because it is a investment, it also creates profit, it belongs to you and it does something good for this world. I don't believe that putting money into the bank or buying gold is a good idea. Check history lessons - gold prices change, banks become bankrupts and after all - money have no real value. You don't eat money, you don't sleep on money, you don't need money on International Space Station... 
If you win 10 millions try to diversificate the risks. keep 1 million for living, spend 1 million to buy a hotel or restaurant, another million to buy the farm, another million to buy a factory that produces something useful, invest 1 million into a well running company = buy shares, another million to buy an island and so on. AND DON'T FORGET TO GIVE ME THE LAST MILLION FOR THIS ADVICE!
