It certainly is. I always play in the hope that someday I'll win a promotion or get to a final table and win a good seat, if that happens it's much easier to keep.

I do not understand the question. Why do not you play an interesting game. This distracted from the daily hassles and worries, relax, communicate with interesting people, get game experience. Certainly worth playing poker.
