Well experiment's working, finally back to crushing poker again. I ran 3 buy-ins below ev today but it didn't matter because I was up 3 more anyway. Actually been focusing on playing good poker, started out running 16/14 but then when I realized isolating donks who don't fold postflop as well as preflop with trash doesn't work and ended up running around 15/12 today. Just feels a lot better and like I'm actually playing poker and thinking things through instead of just going through the motions. Told myself I'm gonna clear the 2k bonus, another 5k vpps or so, and then assuming I feel it's going well go back up to 200nl and do the same thing, cut down to ~12 tables, focus on playing poker, assigning ranges, etc. instead of just nitting it up and only tough decisions being "omg I have top 2 and villain raised, does he have a set more than he has TP/worse 2 pair here?". ok so I'm exaggerating a bit but I don't think 24-table stacking was a good idea. Probably close as to whether I gained/lost value doing it to chase the milestone but w/e it's done. I may not get the 100k vpps this month I wanted, but I'm hoping to at least stay pretty close to the sne pace and then if/when I move up can make up the slack there. Plus if there's a 2x vpp week I'll have no problem 20-tabling step sngs for the entire week for like 10 hours/day (ok slight exaggeration, but not all that much).
