This "Kill Phil" type strategy was a good idea for him, as he perhaps recognized that he was the "worst" player at the table.

An objective look at the specifics of his play(s), however, shows how poor he really is, despite his good "meta-strategy".

As to Gold, I don't think he is really that bad, and is certainly better than Yang. His weakness is being a bit too "atc" and perhaps liking to gamble too much.

Both Yang and Gold have annoying personality traits (praying, talking, respectively) that seem to bother people to different extents, but shouldn't come into play when evaluating their poker skills or lack thereof.
