Online I have turned $0.00 into >$2400 net.  This isn't a million but it started with freerolls, that then lead to microstakes, then that lead to low stakes play.  Strictly following good bankroll management techniques is very important.

I don't have all the answers, if i did i would have 100,000's instead of 2000, but it is clear to me, that winning big pots and losing small pots is important.  Learning when to take a hand that doesn't belong to you is important.  Playing too many bad hands, out of position, is a killer.  Knowing when to fold is really important, but you can't fold your way to the final table.

If you are playing good fundamental poker, do not let the losses get you down.  If you are not playing good fundamental poker, you probably will not be a consistent winner, but by studying, reading, and putting this stuff into practice at lower stakes may help you. (2018/2019 my cash rate in tournaments and sit-n-gos was 26%,\; for 2019 only it is now 36% - spending more time looking for leaks and studying seems to be paying off)
