If you go and play even the lowest limit NL ring game the max buy in for 1/2 penny NL is like $2. You got buy in for the Min. But, unless you are a good short stack player this is not a good idea. So, you buy in for $2 giving you a bankroll of 3 1/2 times the buy in as a bankroll. I don't think anyone here on the forum will tell you that is a good idea. Sure you can start with that and suceed. But, you have to be a very good player to do that. Just because you made it up to $57 dollars does not make you a good player either. Heck for all we know you found the largest NL ring game and got lucky a few hands and made it up to $57 in a a few hours. Perhaps it took you longer because you stayed at smaller limits. But, then feeling unbeatable you moved up levels thinking since it was so easy you could make even more money at higher levels and then lost it all on a few hands. Perhaps you only moved up one level and came across a table of better players and were handed your hat. The point I am trying to get across is that you need to realise there is just to much varience in the game to expect a small amount of money like you have to whether the ups and downs of the game. Solution. Either deposit and start with a proper bankroll. Or, keep playing freerolls and fight the temptation to play rings games until you build up enough of a bankroll to play at the limits you can afford with a PROPER bankroll. [/QUOTE]
