Search your feelings, you know it to be true :P It's also somthing that simply doesn't matter in the long run - you're just as likely to be moved into early position three times in a row as you are to be moved into late position and dodge the blinds three times in a row. It all evens out in the long run. The reality is whether you're paying a smaller ante every hand, or you use the blinds system, you're probably paying about the same in either case per round of the button. There's another issue you haven't thought of too: stud games work with an antes because there's also the forced bring-in bet. Hold 'em doesn't have upcards though, so... who has to bring in / start the betting? Nobody? If everyone folds preflop, does the button just get to take all the antes without having had to risk [I]any[/I] additional chips? [/QUOTE]
