But, I'm looking at my graph in HEM for this month and I'm profiting but running below EV. I was just curious for everyone else because I think running below EV is not necessarily bad, but does show that you are playing a somewhat solid game opposed to running above EV when you get caught up with top two and your opponent hit a set and you full house him out.

So my question is:

If you had to absolutely choose one based on the below "stereotypes" which would you prefer to be (while disregarding actual profit)?

IE: Would you rather feel confident in playing a solid game or getting lucky?

1.) Running below EV but still showing a steady profit and playing a solid game, just not getting max value out of your hands with smaller pots.

Or...

2.) Running way above EV, and gambling with the luck factor, getting your money in bad, Your table image is pretty loose aggressive, you play 30-40% of your hands, most of your profit is from suck outs, your game is lacking skill.

Although I will admit some of the biggest pots I've won in the past have been from sick 3 outers on the river.

Running above or below EV really doesn't matter, it just shows if ur on a downswing or up swing. What's important is if your EV is decent or not.
But to answer the question, I'd rather be a solid player than a lucky donk

I know I play well.... so I'd rather have some run good.
