I live in the UK, and at around 11pm-2am the poker table pot averages go through the roof. $10nl 6max you can see averages of $6, and at $25nl 6max averages up to $11 are not uncommon.

Whereas during the day they are more like $4 and $7 tops.

I know there are many logical reasons for this, but why do you guys and girls feel this is?

LAte Night fury

I think more aggressive players come out at night. My theory is that some players stay up late and play while they r really tired. Their play becomes disoriented and they play a little differently. A pro once said that night is where to make the money online, but u have to be dedicated and on the edge of ur seat.

it is so hard for the average joe to get $ in the sites now (and will be getting even harder ) that the afternoon must be filled up with pros while in the evening you get the person who is more of the "recreational" nature (who is therefore more willing to go all in and gamble it up:))

Also people who play poker a lot play during the day don't have other jobs, so they play a lot of poker which usually correlates with skill (not always).

Booze, boredom, 'pastime' poker players tired of the late news... I watch time zones when I play; when we're fresh here in Canada you English and others are getting liquored up and ready to take on the world... He he he.. China also an interesting time zone to track...

at night you get alot of the drunks playing and also you get the college guys playing who think they are tough and will bully their way into winning a pot so yes day play and late night play are totally different you just gotta play your game and call what you think is right

US time zone is about 5 hours behinds UK. So late at night for us Brits is prime playing time for the US, hence the abundance of US donks.

Time Zone difference. At 12pm your time...it is 7pm on the east coast of America and only 4pm on the west coast. People are just getting off work and settling in for the evening when you should be going to bed:D
