It's going to be a lot less stressful on you to grind and play if you know your ability to put food on the table isn't dependent on how the cards fall. So stick with the grinding but stick with the job too. Maybe if you do better and have a deep roll over time you can consider what some do and keep at least a part time job with some benefits while playing more to balance the risk. Chase the dream but be smart about it. Don't risk loss of ability to provide for your kids to play cards. And while I don't have kids, I think it's fair to say, don't let the time at the tables cause you to miss the milestones and miss the time you'll never get back with them if you're not there with them.
