I live in the mid MI area. I used to frequent Firekeepers and Soaring Eagle very regularly. I also used to run any and every charity poker room within a 40 mile radius. I was making money off of sub $100 mtt's over a large sample size, even after I purchased drinks and paid for gas. I obviously played cash games afterward, but I crushed liveamnets for sure. You ever play charity poker rooms like Westgate/Trippers? I am a student, and may catch some live games here real soon. Where are you in relationship to GR?

I have heard that games at the Soaring Eagle are fun and can be very profitable. How about casinos in Detroit have you played there?

I know there is a charity room in Holland when I will be moving and I know of some games through friends in Kalamazoo.

Glad to know I will be able to get some action when I move! More than I get in the U.P.!

I live just outside Grand Rapids,I usually play at the Soaring Eagle 1/2 games. They are fun and soft for the most part. I know Firekeeper's has poker too but I haven't been there yet. There are also quite a few charity poker rooms in Michigan, you can find most of them on http://www.umichiganpoker.com/. There are quite a few in the SE Michigan area.

Good luck man

GRAND RAPIDS AREA... T.J.'s on Division Ave., and Lincoln Lanes on Lake Michigan Ave. offer a few good games. T.J.'s has a $50 freezeout on Friday nights at 7 pm that are a big hit locally. Westgate has always been a good place to get action but I think its starting to go to more cash games than tournaments like they used to have. I think its cash play during the week and tourneys on the weekends (usually early afternoons)
