Live play hot seat

When you play live do you realize that there is always that hot seat that just keeps getting dealt good cards and catching as well? Do you sit out a couple rounds to screw up the rotation of the cards?

When i play live i realize that there are always those 2 collision seats where the hot seat always has the winning hand. I'm pretty sure you all notice this but would sitting out a couple fix this problem?

OMG - I've noticed this too!

In my experience though the best thing to do isn't to sit out. After all it's the hot seat, and its run-good magic has no respect for your feeble attempts to block it. Rather, you've gotta go back to that old poker maxim "play the player, not the cards, and if that doesn't work, spike the hot seat player's drink so that you can move to their seat when they pass out".

Easiest way to switch the hotseat is to request a new deck imo. I mean unless you feel like casting a hex at the table.

changing the deck does work sometimes. I've also tried playing the player not cards.But normally what you see when this happens is that a player will become abnormallly loose and start playing hands that they normally wouldnt play.Which makes it even harder to put them on a specific hand.What I'v works better is playing extremely tight letting them take down a loose player the empty seat then changes the tableand by the time someone else is moved to the empty seat the table has changed

Oh yeah . . . I get this all the time . . . My preferred method of cleansing in these instances is to:

1. Stand up and take a step back
2. Take numerous small steps in an anti-clockwise direction (for 360 degrees) + muttering under my breath, and all the while acting out an exorcism with hand gestures
2. Repeat step 2
3. Repeat step 2
4. By this time the players should have ran away, and you are free to grab the seat, nay the throne(!) of hotsweatypower!

Trust me, it works.

I like to talk the player that's in the hot seat to let Mom bring their cards in (Yes we have a player's Mom that comes to the game to sweat her daughter.) Mom always makes everything alright!

Chips4buds are fellow members making fun of your paranoid thoughts?
I've witnessed people actually sitting out and in extreme cases actually sitting out until the blind comes to them again,but its mostly old guys, You know those really old ones with the oxygen tank.

But in all seriousness i like to just relax when they on they're rush in the hot seat. Let them crack all the aces,runner runner st8 's on top 2 pair/sets etc. Because i know at the end of the night it's plus EV for me for them to play that way. Why because since there in the hot seat they make all the money. So when they cash out i follow them to they're car and stab them in the ****ing neck with a dull hotel pin until i hear the Spencer siren from the god damn flash light police. Take there money ez game???

*notsureifseriousbutjustincase* Yeah, most casinos won't let you do that. Unless you're some kind of high roller or something. But it's irrelevant anyway, because the magic of the hotsweatypower seat is in the seat itself, not the deck. It has no respect for deck changes.

Spraying the seat with an aerosolised mix of silver and garlic might work though...
