We got our first color TV a couple of months before the moon landing...and it had a remote... before that the TV was black and white and had a knob that you turned to change the channel... and us kids were the remote!...the new remote worked on "ultra sound"... when the milk man would stop (yeah we had one of those too) to put milk in the milk box on the front porch, sometimes his brakes would squeal and the TV would turn on... Mom liked her buzzy, crackly AM radio station cause they played Glenn Campbell...ALOT... whenever he'd come on TV, mom would always say how "cute" he was in color ...
