So in theory its not a massive mistake with some hands but of course if you kept doing this in tourneys you wouldnt last long as gradually your chips would dwindle. One of the times i like doing this is if there are a lot of people in the hand and they all just check call a min raise then ill seriously consider adding an extra blinds worth of chips just in case I flop something big because chances are if you do people wont be letting go off the larger pocket pairs.
