Now why I would do this.

First rule: all players should be equal and all players should have equal chances to win the tournament before the tournament starts. Then players would be more cautious, which would add to the high error cost of playing at the table. This would only add to the competitive atmosphere at the tables.
Second rule: this is an interesting innovation that would have made each player's pre-flop cards more valuable. The all-in of conditional AKs against 87 would have a higher % win rate, and we would see more fair poker based on smart tactics rather than fish luck. And as for combinations on the board, it would be harder to collect a straight and a flush from 1 card. Well agree that a flush and a straight from 1 card is pure luck. And in poker, luck should not be on the same level as the skills of the players. And so the same flush and straight would be impossible to pick up on the flop. This would increase the importance of top pairs on the flop! And imagine what would be the probability of picking a royal flush, for example? Oh, those would be incredible moments of happiness! :unsure:;)
