[QUOTE="N.D., post: 1296738, member: 30036"] Yeah cuz if you cut and paste that one little bit from my post that's exactly how I read. Paranoid. But then it's healthy to have a measure of paranoia. We know that in most child abduction cases the guilty party is not a stranger, but rather a family member, and frequently a parent. Does that stop every last parent in the country, maybe even the world, from cautioning their children "Don't talk to strangers"? We know that most men don't rape, kill, or even hit women. Heck, most of the men I know won't stand for a woman being disrespected in their presence. Does that mean these things never happen? Or that it isn't wise for women to be cautious? Or for the occasional fears to be justified? We know that most people who play poker, or frequent casinos for that matter, aren't thieves or cheats. Does that mean that I shouldn't pay attention to what's going on around me or my chips? Just because most aren't guilty I shouldn't be aware that some are and therefore be mindful of my situation? If you've never had to sic your dad or big brother on some jerk who just couldn't begin to comprehend the meaning of "NO!" then I don't reckon you would understand. Then there's the size issue. Human predators don't seem to be particularly fond of large prey. 6' 3" 220lb men just don't come up missing as often as women, and children seem to come up missing more than men and women put together. The point is still there. That ladies' tournaments are designed to draw women to the game. To give them a place which is at least perceived as safe, less intimidating, and more comfortable. I don't know why I'm surprised that some men don't or won't get it. After all, some men whine and moan, and will even go so far as to wear a dress for ladies night just to get half price drinks.
