There are presently 27 women with lifetime tournament earnings exceeding $1 million. The top 10 of the Women’s All-Time Money list is a solid mix of old school female pros and modern day superstars that have reaped the benefits of the monster prize pools of the modern era. Leading all women is Vanessa Selbst. In just over a decade, she has risen to the top spot with over $11.64 million in earnings. Kathy Liebert was the women’s former #1 player, currently with over $5.98 million in lifetime earnings. Liebert and Selbst are the only females in history to earn over $5 million. Men are currently the best poker players in the world & the reason for this, I think, is that Poker is about aggression, & men have a built in aggression factor that stems from the days when we were still wearing furs & living in caves. To hunt for food back then and provide for your family, you had to have a certain amount of built-in aggression. Have you ever killed an animal for food or hunted. Not for the faint of heart, you need a certain level of aggression to take an animals life. Woman didn't need this kind of aggression to rear children, gather berries and so forth.
