Well that's kinda odd because the poker community thinks otherwise (I believe there was a list on 2p2 last month of who  the community thought ranked in top10).  It's also weird because many of the top pros also think differently... believing that Isildur is a formidable opponent.
 
I can't recall any player who brought about as much excitement in recent years as the famed Isildur did when he made his appearance on Fulltilt.  Taking on the top players at the highest stakes in whatever game 'they' chose & crushing them.
 
How could a player not be considered great when they're sitting down playing HU at the highest online stakes, & taking on the world's best?  And not only taking them on... but taking on more than one of them at a time.  It's a feat I'm sure we won't see repeated in a very long time (if ever).    I forget exactly what the comparison was they made recently on Pokercast... but it was something like, "not only would it be like some unknown fighter taking on someone like George St.Pierre... but it'd be like someone taking on G.S.P., and then right after that jumping in the ring with Spider Silva, then Sonnen, then Chuck Lidell, then ....    & knocking them all out.   It was nothing less than amazing!
