Music whilst playing poker

Since we all know what an important role music can have to someones psychological stance and overall performance I wanted to ask who here listens to music whilst playing poker and if yes what kind?

Calming/relaxing music has never been my taste therefore I haven't tried being in a peaceful mood when playing, I'm a metal-head so my Spotify playlist would consist of Metallica/SoaD/Slayer/Slash/Slipknot etc. which hypes me up to the maximum and helps me focus when I'm deep into a MTT or have had lack of sleep, basically works as a supplement accompanied by that sweet caffeine.

Most people call me a nutcase and say that it boosts chances of slack play but personally helps me concentrate and removes any chances of boredom :thrasher:

I think music does not affect the psychological state, you have to control it yourself. But personally, music only prevents me from concentrating

I like listening to music a lot, normally softer pieces (but only pop, no classical music) but if I feel too passive, I think it helps to listen to something more aggressive (for me that's AC/DC or Metallica)

Usually, if I listen to music I listen to classical music and get lost within the complexities of it all which aids concentration on poker. Yesterday though I had a whole day of listening to Queen. Only the best music there is on the planet!

Yeah, I guess it overall depends on the player's personality tbh. Music is definitely a powerful tool though and should never be underestimated. But at the end of the way we just have to rock on my dear metal heads as we strive with our godly guitar solos!

I listen to poker when i play online poker all the time, I almost never do live on the other hand. I feel it is a little annoying to be sitting at a table and never hear a word anyone else is saying.

But yeah I'll usually listen to some chill indie rock type of music, nothing to intense.

Yes, music is the great key for some people to improve their poker skills. You need to listen to some kind of relax music. I won a couple of tournaments while i listen to this kind of music. It can helps you to clear up your mind from different things and keep your patience in poker.
