I've ordered some new cards. Over the years the plastic cards have proved themselves to be worthwhile. Through experience, we've found some brands to be better than others: 1. KEMS - expensive. Good but slick texture and thin feel. Over-rated IMO. 2. COPAG - were my favorites. Start out good, but colors bleed. Company wouldn't replace bad set. Screw them. 3. Dal Negro - Pick up dirt easy. Little flecks. 4. Gemaco - Good but nothing special. 5. Modiano - these have been my favorite. Excellent quality. We've used ours so much the colors are starting to fade (after several years and much use). I've ordered the following: 1. One two-deck set of Modiano Poker Index. These are jumbo index cards, which I think help with our long table, with an innovative small index in each corner so you can see your cards without revealing them to your neighbor. 2. One four-deck set of Modiano Cristallo Jumbo Index. 3. One two-deck set of Desjgn Wicked Combo. A new company getting good reviews. Backs come in a lot of cool colors. The arrangement of pics on the cards is non-traditional, so it may be confusing if your brain has memorized patterns. Don't know if we'll like this or not. 4. One two-deck set of Fournier jumbo index Arabesco design. These are Spanish cards and have some of the best reviews I've seen. Anxious to try them. 5. One two-deck set of Bicycly Prestige. This is Bicycle's entry into plastic cards and they've also gotten excellent reviews. I ordered the first four from Caragails and the Bicycles from ace-king on eBay. I like Caragails. Freebies like cut cards and cases, free shipping (at least on this order. Don't know if there's a minimum). I looked into the Stud Kings, e-mailed the company directly. I don't know if AG's review on another thread pertains to their old plastic card or to their upgraded DuraCard. Not as cheap as they used to be. I like playing four-color deck online. We tried four-color COPAGs in our home game and they were not well liked. This should be enough cards to last us the rest of our lives. It will be interesting to see what we like. We should retire the old Modianos. Maybe put them up as the bubble prize in an upcoming game. Is anybody excited????? ? Gary
