So my more recent results; In 2 recent trips to the casino I've made 2 final tables in 30-40ish player weekly tournies (7th both times just missing the money). At this level the competition i feel is really weak & once again simply playing in position with a tight starting range & c-betting gives me a huge edge over many of the donks in the casino. Online is a different story though. I have been attempting to play a much more hyper-aggressive style at the micro cash games (1c/2c with $2 buyins) - but encountered mixed results. The variance with such a style is high ofcourse, but many tables are soulless... occupied by multitabling grinders that wont get involved without premium hands (usually good for a coin toss though if you want to jam JJ preF and get called by AK). After around 1500 hands in my return to pokerstars I'm down around 600 big blinds / 6 buyins at the very lowest limit, 01/02c 6-max nl. Needlessy to say that it has dented my confidence a little that I'm not beating the lowest game - but i still believe i have a natural talent for poker so hope to see improved results with more effort.... hence signing up here at cardschat! So a few questions for my first post... 1. Which software will help me improve & why? I have heard of Flopzilla and Pokertracker but i haven't tried either. What areas of your game does such software help improve? 2. Should i be concerned about losing at the lowest level on stars even at a small sample size of 1500 hands? I know some online players who all say the micros are easy to beat but i have never found them easy to consistently win at - are they telling lies, or do you think i have some really serious flaws making me a losing player in the smallest games?
