I can't entirely agree that it's time to stop making poker movies. Time to stop making bad ones? Sure. Arguably it's time to stop making bad movies all together. The problem is, I don't think anyone actually wakes up one morning and says to themselves "Self. I think it's time I write a horrible movie script. Maybe a sucktacular director will jump on board. I could get rich!" I would like to know why there hasn't been a shockingly great documentary or bio-film. Come on, 'March Of The Penguins' made penguins fascinating. Waddling, arctic, birds, who pretty much hunt and look like they're dressed for a snazzy shindig; were suddenly cool. So cool they spawned 'Happy Feet'.(I admit to loving 'Happy Feet'. There's just something about cute animated baby animals that brings out my girlness. Maybe it's oh I don't know, my lack of a y chromosome) Back to the point. Why don't they just grab a charismatic pro and follow him or her around for a few months? Pay them enough and they'll do it!!! The thing about documentaries is that after awhile the person being followed around gets really used to the cameras and film makers. Then they could have them honestly analyze their frame of mind during certain situations at and away from the table. P.S. I wanna see 'The Jennifer Harman Story' starring someone unlikely such as Charlize Theron or Dakota Fanning. I dunno why. I just wanna see it.
