Back to poker room etiquette, Whenyou take down a big pot real quick like within 15 minutes of sitting down. On 2 different occasions I got up over $80 in 15 minutes and just wanted to get up and leave. But there are many regulars where I play live and figured this would be frowned upon so I would stay and usually lightning would keep striking and I would end up losing a nice part of this stack. Any opinions, I know there is no rule and I can get up anytime but I dont want to be known as a hit and run player either

Well you can certainly leave whenever you want. It's within the rules of the game. You can sit down, shove, win, and get up if you want. Nothing stopping you. If you hit big and then lose your nerve, well, you have the right to stand up.

Now is it good form? No. People are going to look at you funny. In the old days, some might even take it further than that. Or they'll remember you and refuse to give you action in the future. Bottom line, you'll look like a douche.

But that's your business, you do what you feel like you have to do to protect yourself. As long as you understand that our actions can sometimes have consequences, maybe even cost you more in the long run in lost action, and you're okay with that.

Personally, if I'm in a position like that, I'm gonna stick around for at least a couple of orbits, even if I'm folding every hand. And when I know I'm going to end the session soon, I'll usually announce it during table chat. That way if I chip way up on my last hand, people will know that I was leaving anyway.

I made a thread on something like this a few days ago. I found out of 10 HU game i played something if they win one hand or you fold a few and they are in profit, even at micro stakes by about just 5cents they just leave.. It leaves you feeling frustrated because you haven't got a proper game goin. That's why i wish these online ring HU games had a buy-in amount and you must play x amount of hands before leaving to give a fair game rather than someone getting lucky one hand and just leaving..

Unfortunately this is a common trend for low bankroll players to exercise such ploys. They play till doubled thru on the opponent then leave. It's a sleazy way to win but no regulations on the host site.
