The key is a 'top low' card. Here the top low are 6 and 8.
The lower one is the winner, hence the player one.

Yeah but top low card in the hand? or top low card in you combination?
Like lets say the 3 low cards from the board that player A is using, player B cannot use 1 card of those cause it pairs with some of his OWN low cards, so he uses other low card from the board and have lower cards in his hand.

23456 ace4578
Oh well I made a mistake because both the players need to have three of the same cards right? Or is there a situation where this is not the case?

I thought it is always about the lowest card so the ace would win.

So in this situation who would win?

Player 1 23456
Player 2 ace 4568

In Omaha Hi / Lo, a “high” hand is defined in the same way as in Hold'em or Omaha, following the traditional hand rankings. The “low” hand requires a little more explanation, especially if you are new to split play or high-low poker. First of all, whatever cards you use to make your hand, it doesn't matter for a low hand. You can use the same two cards, two other cards, or any combination, as long as you use two cards from your four-card hand plus three community cards to create a five-card hand.
