With the rise of online poker platforms, many players now find themselves torn between the virtual tables and the traditional brick-and-mortar casinos. What are your thoughts on the online vs. live poker debate? Do you prefer the convenience of playing from home or the excitement of a live game with tangible chips and cards?

Its a bit of both for me. Last year I started getting into playing live. But I can't be bothered to make the trip all the time. Plus online is way cheaper of course.

Live is where its at though in terms or actually winning some money, in my small sample over last year at least anyway.. Plus the excitement is real. Its a way better and more fun experience playing live

I would have said that a live tournament is cool, but now there are online tournaments that save us a lot of time, so we choose to play online poker, it's more convenient for us to do it, we play tournaments from the comfort of our home and have a cool time playing our favorite game now online poker has no equal

I play online poker every day, but when I have a chance, I always go to play live poker tournaments or cash games.
But we have only 1 casino in our city and consequently crazy re-buy 5$ tournaments 😭

I do not like live poker, it is much more convenient for me to play online poker from home. I can get up from the table at any time, I don't have to play poker tight with my face...

In live sessions you can have "tells" that is the advantage of playing live, one disadvantage is the number of tables that you can play at the same time

Love playing live poker as opposed to online but have only ever played live in Vegas. Stopped playing cash games there as the sharks were far too good for my very average game.

Online players are used to playing several tables at once and seeing hundreds of hands per hour. With live games, you are limited to just one table, and the pace of that table will also be much slower than any online game you've ever played. You can expect to see only 30-40 hands an hour at most live games.

I love the entire experience of playing live tournaments, and on occasion a cash game. From the ambience of the card room, to feeling the chips and cards in my hands, to the human interaction, online doesn't hold a candle to live. That is not to say online doesn't have anything going for it, because it's vastly lower cost allows me to play it much more. :)

My preference is for online.
Online you can play anywhere and anytime, that's very comfortable for me.
In the other hand, live poker you need to set a time for play and go. Also you need to learn poker faces lol, which is very difficult to know.

I like to play live more but at the moment it is more profitable for me to play online. You have the possibility of playing a larger number of tournaments with less USD.

It's so awkward taking someone's stack in a live cash game. I want to be extra nice to them or something.

I think the fee for live games are higher as for online games. But live Poker is definitley more fun and the adrenaline rush is online much higher...

I love online because I can play comfortably from my couch with my legs up to alleviate any back pain that I suffer from. I do play live but primarily my games are from home online.
